Bridgnorth To Nantwich - Day 11 - 15 July

My legs didn't want to work at the start of the day but somehow once they had 30 miles in them they rallied. Probably the lovely breakfast (forgot my camera, sorry) of Scrambled Eggs and Mushrooms on Toast at the Woodberry Inn in Bridgnorth had kicked in along with lunch at Deli 45 in Newport.

Bridgnorth is well worth a visit, lots of lovely buildings.

Whilst you are in Bridgnorth you could visit Blists Hill.
The centre of Telford was bland but I liked the statue and it was well served with cycle lanes radiating from the centre.
This long bridge spanned two roads and the railway station.

You'll have to go some to have more impressive statues at your home
Lunch at Deli 45 was excellent; a pear, walnut and blue cheese salad.
I crossed the Shropshire Union Canal. The boaters were on their first holiday and having a lovely relaxing time.
The miles on this stone don't work for me as I am going the pretty quiet way.
I took a real gamble on this road which would have entailed going back 3 miles if I was wrong about a cycle being able to get through. Work had finished for the day so my luck was in.
My lovely room at the Cheshire Cat in Nantwich which looks to be roughly level on the map with my home town of Skegness.

  1. Great effort good to see the legs still tiring those pedals. Oops that was typo meant to say turning but I guess either is appropriate.
